Course Objective
To provide both theory and practical to the students to get
the first job in electrical industry as trade assistant or apprentice
Tasks of Electrical Assistant
An electrical assistant supports licensed electricians and
tradespeople with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in
residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Their primary responsibilities
include preparing job sites, assisting with wiring and cable pulling, and
ensuring all work complies with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Gathering
materials: Requisitioning, organizing, and transporting
tools and equipment to the job site. Site
safety: Setting up barricades, erecting scaffolds, and ensuring
the workspace is clean and secure. |
Cable
management: Stringing transmission lines, running wires
through conduits, and pulling cables through trays. Conduit
work: Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending electrical
conduit using hand tools and benders. Component
assembly: Assembling controllers, panels, and fixtures
using drills, saws, and punches |
Inspections:
Examining electrical components for broken insulation, loose connections, or
wear. Testing:
Assisting the lead electrician in tracing short circuits and testing
equipment using multimeters and test meters. Repairs:
Disassembling defective equipment and replacing damaged parts under direct
supervision |

Course Duration
4 hrs/week x 16 weeks = 64 hrs

· Free for the students from the RTOs who are receiving the training by IQY Trainer
· $2000 can be paid in two instalments
